Rev. Mack Carney

Rev. Mack Carney, 69, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Laurel, MS on Sunday, November 14, 1948 to Lester Carney and Lavanda Parnell Carney. He was a member of Center Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Carney pastored various churches in the community for a number of years. During this time he worked various other jobs including his latest employement at Wayne Academy. He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Carney and mother, Lavanda Carney. Rev. Carney is survived by his wife, Tammy A. Carney, Waynesboro, MS; daughters, Chastity Triplett (Robert), Jackson, MS, Summer Carney, Finley, OH, Jennifer Carney, Salt Lake City, UT; son, Chad Carney (Schlee), Piave, MS; step-sons, J. T. Walley (Haley) and Devan Walley, Waynesboro, MS; sister, Ethel Newsome, Laurel, MS; brother, Gerald Carney (Kathy), Petal, MS; 7 grandchildren, Mackenzie Carney, Maegan Carney, Chandler Carney, Mallary Carney, Madalynn Carney, Brady Carney, Allison Carney; great grandchild, Koen Waller. Visitation for Rev. Carney will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Coats and Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Shubuta, MS.
