Mr. Pete Cochran, 80, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Clara, MS on Friday, December 30, 1938 to Oscar Cochran, Sr. and Missouri Mills Cochran. He was a member of Denham Baptist Church and served in the National Guard. He retired from the oil field as a Driller. He loved hunting, fishing, and watching football. Mr. Cochran is preceded in death by his mother, Missouri Cochran; father, Oscar Cochran, Sr.; son, Michael Cochran; 5 brothers, Ravon Cochran, Ervin Cochran, Roscoe Cochran, Roddy Cochran, B. L. Cochran; grandson, Derek Cochran. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Minnie L. Cochran, Waynesboro, MS; 3 sons, Charles Cochran (Becky), Waynesboro, MS, Mitchell Cochran (Tracy), Ovett, MS, Mark Cochran (Tina), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Tammy Holcomb (Michael), Waynesboro, MS; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; beloved dog, Buddy. Serving as pallbearers are: Tucker Cochran, Coyleton Cochran, Deke Cochran, Kevin Hollingshead, Casey Holcomb, and Mike Holcomb. Visitation for Mr. Cochran will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Denham Baptist Church in Wayne County, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 14, 2019 at Denham Baptist Church in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Chip Phillips, Rev. Deke Cochran, and Rev. Kevin Hollingshead officiating. Interment will be in Denham Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
