Paula Harmon Patrick, age 64, beloved daughter, wife, stepmother and grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 29, 2018, in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Born in Meridian and growing up in Waynesboro, Mississippi, Paula is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Annette Harmon, her beloved husband Donald Patrick, Sr., and her devoted dog Buffy.
She will be forever remembered by her sisters Ann Foster (Mike); Susan Harris (Marshall); a stepson Donald Patrick, Jr. (Kim); a granddaughter, Haley Patrick; nieces Amanda Foster Williams (Chris); Ashley Foster Farrow (Rusty); Katie Harris DeGrace (Chris); and Sarah Harris Bray (Mark Phillips); nephew Marshall Harris, Jr. ( Natasha Kucelin); great nieces and nephews Mary Beth, Benton, and Brandon Williams; Blaine Whitt; Hannah and Henry DeGrace; Jack Pownell; Owen and Hadley Bray; as well as a many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She will also be lovingly remembered by her dearest friend Kay Clark and a host of former students, friends and coworkers.
She was a graduate of Waynesboro-Central High School, the University of Southern Mississippi, and received her Masters degree in special education from William Carey University. She had a passion for teaching and spent her teaching career at Wayne Academy, Stainton Elementary in Laurel, and had retired from the Quitman School District.
She was a member of the Southern Methodist Church in Waynesboro where she loved to share her musical talents and her love for the Lord through her singing.
Known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at 2 PM at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, with visitation from 12-2. Interment will follow at Shirley Place Cemetery in Clara.
