Mrs. Olevia Gene Anderson, 94, of Hattiesburg, MS passed from this life Monday, December 31, 2018 at Bradford Care Center of Hattiesburg in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Friday, November 21, 1924 to William Stance Palmer and Dorothy Odie Kittrell Palmer. Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her husband, Bart S. Anderson; mother, Dorothy Palmer; father, William Stance Palmer; 2 sons, Erwin Anderson, David Anderson; brother, W. S. Palmer; sister, Murriel Dunn; grandson, Jeffrey Bart Anderson; great granddaughter, Maelee Anderson. She is survived by 2 sons, Huey S. Anderson (Charlotte), State Line, MS, Tom Anderson (Rhonda), Clara, MS; daughter, Odie Anderson Spence, Saucier, MS; daughter-in-law, Teresa Williams Anderson, Kentucky; sister, Odie Rivers Edge, Hawkinsville, GA; sister-in-law, Gladys Sanderson Palmer, State Line, MS; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Anderson will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Chaise Herrington officiating. Interment will be in County Line Cemetery in State Line, MS.
