Nell (Overton) Jones

Mrs. Nell Jones, 90, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, April 30, 2018 at Wayne General Hospital. She was born in Grove Hill, AL on Saturday, October 15, 1927 to John Perry Overton and Emma Sue Overton. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Nell is preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Jones; father, John Perry Overton and mother, Emma Sue Overton; daughter, Arlene Schambache She is survived by her daughters Peggy Jones Anderson (Leonard), Waynesboro, MS, Kathy Trudeau, Myrick, MS; brothers, Lum Overton, Billy Overton, both of Grove Hill, AL; sisters, Regina Williams, Hawkinsville, GA, Annie Young, Grove Hill, AL, Betty Anderson, Spanish Fort, AL; grandchildren, Chuck Fleming, Allison Fleming, Robin Schambach, Kim Dawn Turner, Nathan Trudeau, Derrick Trudeau; great grandchildren, Chloe Mumford, Greta Fleming, Evan Freeman, Saige Turner, Chace Turner, Ryan Turner. Visitation for Nell will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, May 4, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Parker officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
