Mrs. Myrtle Mae Crane McCary, 89, of Chicora, MS passed from this life Friday, August 10, 2018 at her residence in Chicora, MS. She was born in Chicora, MS on Monday, August 27, 1928 to Henry L. "Bud" Crane and Mary Ida Sykes Crane. She was a member of Chicora Baptist Church. Mrs. McCary is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert G. McCary, Sr.; mother, Mary Ida Sykes Crane Sanderson; father, Henry L. "Bud" Crane; son, Ronald Henry McCary; 5 brothers, Wyman Crane, Edward E. Crane, Tony Crane, Henry Lee Crane, Cleavy Crane; 3 sisters, Allie Dean Crane, Ida Gwendolyn "Dean" Summers, Eliza Hamilton. She is survived by her son, Robert G. McCary, Jr. (Charlotte), Metairie, LA; daughter, Mary Linda Heyl (Roy), Slidell, LA; sister, Marrell Rigney, Buckatunna, MS; 2 sister-in-law’s, Barbara Crane, Laurel, MS, Mattie Rae Pool, Alabama; 5 grandchildren, Dane S. Boue, Darin C. Boue (Maria), Brandi Powell (Evan), Yvette A. Boue, Eric Heyl (Lisa); 6 great grandchildren, Connor Powell, Avery Powell, Sofia Boue, Daniel Boue, Hannah Heyl, Hailey-Ann Heyl. Visitation for Mrs. McCary will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305Skyland Drive Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
