Louise Gilbert Loper

Mrs. Louise Gilbert Loper, 90, of State Line, MS passed from this life Friday, October 19, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Bay Springs, MS on Sunday, May 13, 1928 to Lloyd Sims and Luttie Sims. She was a member of Ideal Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs Louise taught Business Education for many years and retired from both the States of Mississippi and Alabama. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bro. Woodrow Gilbert; second husband, Clyde Smith; third husband, Howard Loper; father, Lloyd Sims and mother, Luttie Sims; 5 brothers, Troy Sims, Dale Sims, Max Sims, Atha Sims, Edsel Sims; 2 sisters, Reba Sims Moulds, Etta Sims Jones. Mrs. Louise is survived by 2 daughters, Teresa Cote (Robert), Midlothian, VA, Bonnie White (Edward), Daphne, AL; brother, Lex Sims (Eleanor), Laurel, MS; 2 sisters, Marcia Tally, Louin, MS, Jean Barnett (Roy), Mobile, AL; 2 grandchildren, Heather Cote, Forrest White. Visitation for Mrs. Louise will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday, October 22, 2018 at Providence United Methodist Church, 522 Chicora Greene County Road, State Line, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM Monday, October 22, 2018 at Providence United Methodist Church with Bro. Hugh Sanders and Bro. Sammy Odom officiating. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ideal Primitive Baptist Church.
