Larry Eldon "Corky" Cherry

Mr. Larry Eldon "Corky" Cherry, 66, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Friday, May 3, 2019 in Meridian, MS. He was born in Arkansas on Monday, July 21, 1952 to Hugh James Cherry and Addie Lois Bradley Cherry. He was a member of Free Will Fellowship Church.  He served in the United States Army. Before becoming disabled, he worked in the oil field and in construction; he loved to hunt and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Corky is preceded in death by his father, Hugh James Cherry and mother, Addie Lois Cherry; 5 Brothers and 5 Sisters. He is survived by 3 brothers, William "Bill" Cherry, North Carolina, Harold Cherry, Waynesboro, MS, Harry Cherry, Waynesboro, MS; 2 sisters, Mary Ross, Clara, MS, Lilian McLain, Hattiesburg, MS. Visitation for Mr. Corky will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bankston and Rev. Wyman Bradley officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Denham, MS.
