Mrs. Joyce Bolton Heitmann Doherty, 76, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, November 25, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Mobile, AL on Monday, May 18, 1942 to Girard F. Bolton, Sr. and Mary E. Bolton. She was a member of Waynesboro First Baptist Church. Mrs. Joyce retired from Roberts Brothers, Inc. after 20 years as Switch Board Operator. Mrs. Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, Henry R. Heitmann, Jr.; second husband, James H. Doherty; father, Girard F. Bolton, Sr.; mother, Mary E. Bolton; grandson, Henry "Hal" Heitmann. She is survived by her son, Henry R. Heitmann (Robin), Terry, MS; daughter, Robin C. Herndon (David), Tulsa, OK; 2 brothers, Girard Bolton (Ruth Ann), Leakesville, MS, Charles Bolton (Mary), Mobile, AL; 6 sisters, Mary Ruth Fillippini (Elliott), Bristol, CT, Betty L. Bouler, Mobile, AL, Julia Faye Morris (Tom), Duluth, GA, Jeannie Kaye Langston, Mobile, AL, Patricia Howell (Ed), Leakesville, MS, Deborah Doherty (Don), Mobile, AL; 4 grandchildren, Christopher L. Heitmann, Jennifer Herndon, Rebecca Herndon, Katie Herndon Miller (Payton); best f riend, James W. Odom; many Special  Nieces and Nephews; Bessie Kelley's Sunday School Class. Visitation for Mrs. Joyce will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Henry R. Heitmann, Rev. David Hill and Dr. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery.
