Johnny Paul Davis

Mr. Johnny Paul Davis, 80, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, January 25, 1938 to Ed Davis and Madie Davis. He retired after more than 30 years at Ciba-Geigy Corporation as a Chemical Operator. He also was an avid fisherman, hunter, a knife-maker, a tinkerer and inventor. He loved spending time with his family- especially his grandchildren. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his father, Ed Davis and mother, Madie Davis; 4 brothers, Jack Davis, E. B. Davis, DeTalmadge Davis, Claude Ray Davis; 3 sisters, Ouida Walker Cochran, Earlene Rogers, and Christine Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Davis, Waynesboro, MS; 2 sons, Johnny Patrick Davis (Melissa), Bennie Edward Davis (Crystal), both of Waynesboro, MS; 2 daughters, Judy Paulette Finch (Hank), Maranda Jean "Mandy" Marks (Steve), both of Citronelle, AL; 2 brothers, James R. Davis (Ruby Lee), Waynesboro, MS, Bobby Davis (Earline), Pineville, LA; sister, Noma Sansing, Jackson, MS; 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Winchester Cemetery with Rev. Greg Davis officiating.
