James Floyd McCarty

Mr. James Floyd McCarty, 92, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, January 09, 2020 at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, December 05, 1927 to James Oscar McCarty and Velma McCarty. He was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church.  He worked as a Machine Operator at Wells Lamont Glove Factory. Mr. McCarty is preceded in death by his wife, Louise McCarty; father, James Oscar McCarty; mother, Velma McCarty; 2 sisters, Louise Clifford, Inez Holifield. He is survived by 2 daughters, Ann Pitts, Waynesboro, MS, Deborah Freeman, Richton, MS; 2 brothers, Travis McCarty, Clifford McCarty, both of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Jettie McKee, Waynesboro, MS; 3 grandchildren, Roye Pitts, Thoye Pitts, Scott Freeman; 7 great grandchildren, Madilyn Pitts, Danielle Pitts, Dalton Pitts, Rylee Pitts, Tyler Williamson, Elizabeth Freeman, Shawna Freeman; 2 great-great grandchildren, Madison Thornton, Ryder Casey. Visitation for Mr. McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 13, 2020 at Little Rock Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jason Merritt    officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
