James Donald Becton

Mr. James Donald Becton, 81, of Millry, AL passed from this life Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Covenant Care Hospice in Mobile, AL. He was born in Millry, AL on Saturday, October 9, 1937 to William Emory Becton and Lillie Mae Becton. He was a member of Independent Community Church.  He worked as a Millwright at Olin Corporation. Mr. Becton is preceded in death by his father, William Emory Becton and mother, Lillie Mae Becton; son, Joel G. Becton; 2 Infant Sons; brother, Jackie  F. Becton. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Becton, Millry, AL; daughter, Phyllis Hall (Michael), Millry, AL; 3 grandchildren; Craig Hall (Constance), Millry, AL, Sean Hall, Tuscaloosa, AL, Jordan Hall, Nashville, TN; 2 brothers, Eugene Becton (Aline), Clatis Becton (Sammie Kaye), both of Millry, AL; sister-in-law, Barbara Becton, Millry, AL; several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation for Mr. Becton will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Independent Community Church, 296 Mehaphy Road, Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Independent Community Church with Rev. Mark Guy, Rev. Larry Willoughby, Bro. Michael Mooney, and Rev. Junior Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Barlow Cemetery in Millry, AL.  Pallbearers are Doug Myers, Kevin Myers, Russell Dixon, Glenn Dixon, Paul Allen and Charles Seabury.
