Irene Waite

Mrs. Irene Waite, 75, of Millry, AL passed from this life Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, May 14, 1944 to Robert Touchstone and L. V. Dearmon Touchstone. She was a member of Flat Branch Assembly of God Church.  She worked as a seamstress at Solomon Brothers Factory in Toxey, AL. Mrs. Waite is preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Waite, Sr.; father, Robert Touchstone; mother, L. V. Touchstone. She is survived by her 2 sons, Roy E. Waite, Jr., Thomasville, AL, Ronald Lee "Runt" Waite (Debra), Dauphin Island, AL; brother, O. D. Touchstone, Gilbertown, AL; sister, Lola V. Newsome, Millry, AL; 5 grandchildren, Joey Waite, Chason Waite, Kristen Thompson (Peanut), Erin Waite, Carly McCarty (Alex); 3 great grandchildren, Dalton Thompson, Daci Thompson, Camden McCarty; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Irene Waite will be held from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2019 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 6, 2019 with a lie-in-state from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Flat Branch Assembly of God in Millry, AL with Rev. Jim Koen and Rev. Andrew Parker officiating. Interment will be in Sandridge Cemetery in Millry, AL.
