Hattie Mae (Stevens) Humphrey

Mrs. Hattie Mae Humphrey, 82, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her residence in Buckatunna, MS. She was born in Laurel, MS on Tuesday, August 27, 1935 to Dennis Stevens and Eloise Stevens. She was a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church and worked as a Health Care Provider. Mrs. Humphrey is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Humphrey; mother, Eloise Stevens; father, Dennis Stevens; brother, Tommy Stevens. She is survived by her 2 sons, Thomas Cochran (Rita), Andy Shaw (Angela) both of Buckatunna, MS; 4 grandchildren, April Nance (Cody), Rusty Cochran (Rachel), Katey Strickland (Kenny), Hannah Shaw; 2 step grandchildren, Denna Mills, Kenneth Mills; 12 great grandchildren; special friend and cousin, Bill Mercer. Visitation for Mrs. Humphrey will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, June 18, 2018 at Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Norman Nowell officiating. Interment will be in Powe Family Cemetery in Chicora, MS.
