Mrs. Grace W. Burgess, 93, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her residence in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Yazoo City, MS on Monday, June 8, 1925 to Oscar A. Williams and Dora E. Williams. She was a member of Lowery Assembly of God Church.  She retired as a nurse aide at Mississippi State Hospital. Mrs. Burgess is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Burgess; mother, Dora E. Williams; father, Oscar A. Williams; son, Thomas Burgess, Sr.; 5 brothers; 5 sisters. She is survived by her son, William Burgess, Pennsylvania; daughter, Gracie Ann Burgess, Quitman, MS; brother, Oscar Van Williams, Waynesboro, MS; sister, Ann Foxworth, Waynesboro, MS; sister-in-law, Jessie Williams, Waynesboro, MS; 8 grandchildren, Evelyn Joyce Rogers, Marilyn Rene Williams, Kathleen Russo, Susan Jane Burgess, Thomas Burgess, Jr., Larisa Burgess, Lisa Burgess, Joey Burgess; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Burgess will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, July 20, 2018 at Lowery Assembly of God Church, Wayne County, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Lowery Assembly of God Church in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Rickey Williams and Rev. Michael Cooley officiating. Interment will be in Lowery Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
