Hinton, 73, a resident of Waynesboro, MS, but was currently residing in the Collins State Veterans Home in Collins, MS passed from this life on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Laurel, MS on December 5, 1944 to J D and Louvenia Hinton. Mr. Hinton served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of Vietnam. He was employed as a police officer at Mobile Police Department for 20 years and later retired as a truck driver. Mr. Hinton is preceded in death by his mother, Louvenia Hinton; father, J D Hinton; brother, William J. Hinton. He is survived by his daughter, Lynette Curry (Jerry) of Mobile, AL; brother, Douglas B. Hinton of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Marguerite Palmer (Mack) of Waynesboro, MS; 3 grandchildren, Amanda Curry, April Johnson, Heather Bryant; 4 great grandchildren, Princesse White, Brantley Bryant, Easton Johnson, Emma Bryant, god-grandchild, Samey Levy. Graveside Service for Mr. Hinton will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 from the Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Dwight Smith officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
