Edward Earl Martin, 66, of Laurel (Wayne County) died on Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 1:55p.m. at Anderson Regional Hospital, Meridian after battling a lifelong illness. He was born on December 10, 1951 in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Mississippi, on Thursday, March 22 from 5pm-9pm. Funeral services will be at Freeman Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 23 at 11am. Services will be officiated by longtime family friends Bro. Bill Myers of Laurel and Dr. Arthur E. Wood III of Waynesboro. Burial will be at Blackledge Cemetery, Laurel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sarah Catherine and James Luther Martin of Eucutta; brothers Garland Dale, Leland and Monroe Martin; sisters Selma Blue and Ethel Boro.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Martin of 46 years, sons, Dale and Tyler, daughter, Mashea Brown (Craig) and two grandchildren Hayden and Hailey.
Pallbearers will be Craig Brown, Hayden Brown, John Dailey, Edwin Blue, Ethan Pitts, Larry Wayne Shoemake, Tim Odom.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Arnold Overstreet and Tim Roney.
