Mr. Dossie John "Buddy" Richardson, 71, of Matherville, MS passed from this life Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Shubuta, MS on Sunday, April 13, 1947. He was a member of Victory Grove Church. He had worked as a Tugboat Captain. Mr. Buddy is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Brown Richardson; father, John Oliver Richardson, Sr., mother, Frances Royce. He is survived by 3 sons, John Richardson, Matherville, MS, Jason Richardson, Hattiesburg, MS, Kenneth "Duck" Donald (Sheney), Whistler, MS; daughter, Teresa Davis Johnson (Harlan), Baytown, TX; 2 brothers, William Richardson, Matherville, MS, John Oliver Richardson, Jr., Fowl River, AL; 3 sisters, Carrie Ann Brasington, Matherville, MS, Marie Oneal Dueitt (Jack), Matherville, MS, Sandy Lee Ramsey, Fowl River, AL; 7 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews. Visitation for Mr. Buddy will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Geneva Presbyterian Church, Matherville, MS with the Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church, with Rev. Maxine Turner and Rev. Kenneth Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Geneva-Horne Cemetery.
