Mr. Curtis Ray McCarty, Sr., 80, of Chicora, MS passed from this life Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at his son's residence in Louin, MS. He was born in Chicora, MS on Monday, February 7, 1938 to Willie Rufus McCarty and Mamie L. Hollingshead McCarty. He was a member of Tabernacle Holiness Church. He was retired as a minister after serving over 30 years in the ministry. Mr. McCarty is preceded in death by his father, Willie Rufus McCarty; mother, Mamie L. Hollingshead McCarty; brother, Joe Rufus McCarty; sister, Marjorie L. Lauderdale. He is survived by 3 sons, Curtis Ray McCarty, Jr., Buckatunna, MS, Carlton Ronald McCarty (Darla), Louin, MS, Clayton Richard McCarty (Delania), Springtown, TX; 10 grandchildren, Meagan McCarty, Christopher McCarty, Caleb McCarty, Cameron McCarty, Cara McCarty, Clay McCarty (Samantha), Jeremy McCarty (Lacy), Boston McCarty, Brittney Maynard (Darren), Breanna McCarty; 2 great grandchildren, Tyler McCarty, Parker McCarty. Visitation for Mr. McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro in MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Larry Daugherty officiating. Interment will be in McCarty Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
