Clay Vance Ganus

Mr. Clay Vance Ganus, 66, of Millry, AL passed from this life Monday, December 24, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, May 31, 1952 to Daniel Ganus and Geneva Todd Ganus. He was a member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church and served in the U. S. National Guard. He retired from the construction industry as a Construction Manager. Mr. Ganus is preceded in death by his parents, Geneva and Daniel Ganus; brother, Rev. Charlie Ganus. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Adams Ganus of Millry, AL; 2 brothers, Bill Ganus (Melita), Harold "Jackie" Ganus (Nelda) both of Waynesboro, MS; 2 sisters, Linda Mosley (Paul), Kathie Dearman (Lester) both of Millry, AL. Pallbearers are: Bill Ganus, Jr., Heath Ganus, Daniel Ganus, Marty Dearman, Justin Adams, and Michael Adams. Honorary Pallbearers are: Gary Lee, Jamie Lee, Yulonsky Mitchell, Doug Myers, Jimmy Lee, and Lamar Ramey. Visitation for Mr. Ganus will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with a lie-in-state from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Mike Chatham, Rev. Frank Gibson, and Rev. Sidney Hill officiating. Interment will be in Aquilla Cemetery in Aquilla, AL.
