Barbara Ann Coody

Ms. Barbara Ann Coody, 68, of Quitman, MS passed from this life Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. She was born in Mississippi on Thursday, August 31, 1950 to Roy Douglas Parker, Sr. and Esther Lee Elfring Parker. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Quitman. She was retired as a self-employed cosmetologist. Ms. Coody is preceded in death by her mother, Esther Lee Parker; father, Roy Douglas Parker, Sr.; brother, John Parker; sister, Lee Dale Johnson. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Dale Guthrie (Chipperess), Quitman, MS; daughter, Holly Hamburg (Shane), Quitman, MS; 2 brothers, Roy Douglas Parker, Jr., Birmingham, AL, David Parker, Prentiss, MS; 4 grandchildren, Ariel Chavez (James), Taylor Melton, Tanner Hamburg, Autumn Guthrie; great granddaughter, Lily Grace Chavez. Serving as pallbearers are: Tanner Hamburg, James Chavez, Lil Bud Hamburg, Kyle Bowman, Shane Hamburg, and Kenny Murff. Visitation for Ms. Coody will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Corbin Kill officiating. Interment will be in Goodwater Cemetery in Clarke County, MS.
