Alvin Ray McLeod, Sr.

Mr. Alvin Ray McLeod, Sr., 71, of Lucedale, MS passed from this life Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was born in Greene County, MS on Monday, November 10, 1947 to Beecher Hall McLeod and Ruby Clark McLeod. Mr. McLeod was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church.  He served in the U. S. National Guard; he was employed with Gulf Interstate Field Services as Chief Inspector in Electrical and Instrumentation. Mr. McLeod is preceded in death by his father, Beecher Hall McLeod and mother, Ruby McLeod; son, Alvin R. McLeod, Jr.; brother, Beecher Calvin McLeod; 2 sisters, Chrystlene Roberts, Lennie LaVonnia Reeves; grandchild, Chadrick Ryan McLeod. He is survived by his wife, Kay McLeod of Lucedale; daughter, Cheryl McLeod (Ralph Vicente) of Lucedale, MS; 2 brothers, Verlon J. McLeod (Valerie), Nathaniel McLeod (Deniece), both of Lucedale; 2 sisters, Annette White (Thomas), Barbara Fallon, both Lucedale; 2 grandchildren, Dillon McLeod (Jessica), Kali Arnold (Michael), both of Lucedale; 2 great-grandchildren, Brailee Reese McLeod, Chadisy Rylan Arnold, both of Lucedale. Visitation for Mr. McLeod will be held from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019 at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church, 331 MS-594, Leakesville, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Shannon Thornhill, Rev. Kenny Rogers and Rev. Karl Causey officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro, MS is in charge of arrangements.
