Mrs. Alma Louise Ard Smith, 82, a resident of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro. She was born on Sunday, December 9, 1934 in Waynesboro to Alvin and Agnes Louise Mills Ard. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church and was retired from public health care as a certified nursing assistant. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Hursel Elton Smith; mother, Agnes Mills Ard; father, Alvin Ard; son, David Michael Smith; 2 brothers, Jack Ard, Towner Ard; 2 grandchildren, Ned Smith, Ghandi Smith. She is survived by 2 sons, Elton Wayne Smith (Renee) of Hurley, Alger Neil Smith (Kathy) of Lucedale; 2 brothers, Vernon Austal Ard (Sylvia) of Pensacola, FL, Charlie Wayne Ard (Dola) of Clara; 2 sisters, Carolyn Ard Walker of Waynesboro, Pauline Ard Smith of Richton; 7 Grandchildren, Melissa Turner (Charlie), Valerie Matthews (Dustin), Amanda Baria (Jared), Bryce Smith, Miranda Wood, Jordan Smith, Cody Smith; 10 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2017 in the County Line Baptist Church in State Line. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 17, 2017 from the County Line Baptist Church in State Line with Rev. Michael Knippers and Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Interment will be in County Line Cemetery in State Line.
