A.J. Reynolds

Mr. A.J. Reynolds, 84, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, September 10, 1934 to Joseph Samuel Runnels and Maebell Runnels. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where he also served as Deacon.  He had worked as a Truck Driver, had served as a manager for Empire Gas, and was Owner of Jiffy Mart in Waynesboro. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Scottish and York Rites. Mr. Reynolds is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Samuel Runnels and mother, Maebell Runnels; son, Paul Reynolds; 3 sisters, Josephine Ezell,  Zella Mae Ezell, Lou Ella Dormon. He is survived by his wife, Lola Reynolds, Waynesboro, MS; 3 sons, Gary Reynolds (Sharon), Waynesboro, MS, Tracy Reynolds (Bobbie), Terry, MS,Tony Reynolds (Jan), Waynesboro, MS; daughter-in-law, Edie Reynolds, Ellisville, MS; brother, Ben Reynolds (Teresa), Onalaska, TX; 6 grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Reynolds will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 6, 2019 with a lie-in-state from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church, 485 Old Highway 84 Road, Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Phillip Gandy, Rev. Philip Rogers, and Rev. Randy McLeod officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
