Mr. James Rufus Bradley, Jr., 86, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at his residence in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Richton, MS on Friday, July 9, 1937 to Mr. James Rufus Bradley and Mrs. Phobie Bradley. He was a faithful member of the Clara First Baptist Church. He worked as a Road Inspector at the Mississippi Department of Transportation. Mr. Bradley is preceded in death by his parents James and Phobie Bradley; his loving wife of 64 years, Jeanette C. Bradley; and granddaughter, Tara Bradley. He is survived by: his son, Jerry Bradley (Becky) of Waynesboro, MS; daughters Janet Shelby (Joel), of Waynesboro, MS; Jeanie Hendry (Mitch), of Strengthford, MS; Jackie Simmons (Kerby), of Soddy Daisy, TN; Jelita Walker (Stephen), of Waynesboro, MS; 7 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Bradley will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Richard Bradley and Rev. Roger Bradley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Walker, Marcus Dearman, Lane Deese, Mitch Hendry, Ricky Bradley, and Jeffery Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dawin Bradley, Timmy Freeman, Howard Chapman, Ervin Shoemake, Trace Johnson, John Roberts, Dennis Freeman, and Rusty Bradford. Interment will follow in the White House Cemetery in Clara, MS.
