Mr. Wilbur Lemuel Rees, 95, was born Friday, November 23, 1917 in Cincinnati, OH and resided in Waynesboro, MS. He passed from this life Monday, September 9, 2013 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro. Mr. Rees was a member of Heidelberg Presbyterian Church. He was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, was a member of Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. He worked as a Chemist with Sara Lee Corporation. Mr. Rees served in the U. S. Army and was a Veteran of WWII. He enjoyed his travels throughout the world. He is survived by wife of 49 years, Edwina M. Rees of Waynesboro; and several cousins. Visitation for Mr. Rees will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 12, 2013 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Hugh Acton and Dr. John Stodghill officiating. Pallbearers are Cooper Leggett, Mack Leggett, Charles Leggett, Luke Leggett, Jody Leggett, Cullen Leggett. Interment will be in Zion's Rest Cemetery in Eucutta. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion's Rest Cemetery.
