March 19, 1932 ~ June 15, 2017 (age 85) 85 Years OldMr. Tommy L. "Sput" Cochran, 85, of Clara, MS passed from this life Thursday, June 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on Saturday, March 19, 1932 to Andrew "Babe" Cochran and Ruby Cochran. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a retired Derrickhand in the Oil Field . Mr. Cochran is preceded in death by his father, Andrew "Babe" Cochran and mother, Ruby Cochran; 3 brothers, Buck Cochran, Jack Cochran, Grady Cochran; sister, Jessie Wood. He is survived by his wife, June Cochran, Clara, MS; 2 sons, Ray Cochran (Sheron), Jerry Cochran (Rhonda), both of Clara; 2 daughters, Sue Williams (Lonnie) of State Line, Sharon Beard (Randy) of Clara; 2 sisters, Wilda Clark (Reynolds) of Waynesboro, Betty Mills (Jack) of Clara; 9 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Cochran will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Ron Swindall officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery.
