Shirley Ramona McRae Ormond, born in Waynesboro, MS and resident of New Orleans, LA, passed away and returned Home on July 9, 2017 at the age of 88. She had been a telephone operator, a housewife, and then a sitter for many years until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Gene Ormond Sr.; her parents, Terrel McRae and Annie M. Tucker; her three brothers, Clinton, Clifford, and Carl; and four sisters, Leila, Lucille, Lois, and Annie.

Shirley is survived by her son, Rudolph G. Ormond Jr. and her daughter, Ramona Ormond Porter; her brother, Lamar McRae; her grandsons, James Ormond, Alan Porter, and Aron Porter; her granddaughter, Amy Porter; and her great-grandsons, Ethan and Owen Porter.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM Thursday July 13, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 9 AM Friday, July 14, 2017 at Freeman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Philadelphus Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Philadelphus Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
