Lucile West Sanderson

Mrs. Lucile West Sanderson, 79, of Quitman, MS passed from this life Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman, MS. She was born in Clarke County, MS on Friday, February 25, 1938 to Ruell West and Lula Mae West. She was a member of Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Sanderson is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Sanderson; mother, Lula Mae West; father, Ruell West; 2 sons, Franklin L. Sanderson, Dennis Robert Sanderson; brother, Norman West; sister, Christine Franklin; 2 grandchildren, Lance Dearmon, Meagan Rowell. She is survived by 3 daughters, Anna M. Dearmon of Waynesboro, MS, Betty Graham (Randale) of Quitman, MS, Carolyn S. Rowell of Troy, AL; 2 sisters, Velma Griffith of Houston, TX, Vera Hollingshead of Waynesboro, MS; 6 grandchildren, Harold Dearmon, Jr., Steven Dearmon, Joey Turner, Chrystal Jacobs, Elizabeth Rowell, Jeremy Graham; 7 great grandchildren, Craig Hammonds, Emma Jacobs, Neal Lewis, Camille Lewis, Laison Lewis, Nicholas Graham, Maxim Davis; special nephew, James Stacey; special niece, Denise McInnis. Visitation for Mrs. Sanderson will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with a lie in state from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Coyt Baptist Church, 175 Coyt Church Road, Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Michael Boutwell, Rev. Doug Manning, and Travis McManus officiating. Interment will be in Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
