Mr. James F. "Jimmy" Toomey, 79, a resident of Millry, AL passed from this life on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Washington County Nursing Home in Chatom. He was born on Friday, September 3, 1937 in Choctaw County to Erma Cupp Toomey and O A Toomey, Sr. He was retired as a self-employed piano tuner and repairman. He loved bluegrass music, fishing, college football, and genealogy. Mr. Toomey is preceded in death by his parents, Erma and O A Toomey, Sr. He is survived by his son, Ralph Toomey (Angie) of Clyde, NC; daughter, Mary Butler of Millry; ex-wife, Faye Toomey of Millry; brother, O A Toomey, Jr. of South Haven, MS; sister, Audrey Davis of Mobile; 2 grandchildren, Hank Butler, Allison Butler both of Waynesboro, MS; special friend, Ann Rainer of Clarksdale, MS. Visitation for Mr. Toomey will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 19, 2017 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from the Aquilla Cemetery in Aquilla with Rev. Breaux officiating. Interment will be in Aquilla Cemetery in Aquilla.
