Mr. James A. "Jimmy" Stewart, 69, a resident of Millry, AL passed from this life on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Washington County Hospital in Chatom. He was born on Monday, January 12, 1948 in Washington County to Lottie V Jordan Stewart and James Augusta Stewart, Sr. He was a member of Flat Branch Assembly of God and was retired from the oil field. After retirement he still continued to work as a self-employed farmer as has done for many years. Mr. Stewart is preceded in death by his parents, Lottie V and James A. Stewart, Sr.; son, James A. "Jim" Stewart, III. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ann Stewart of Millry; son, Jack Stewart of Buckatunna, MS; 2 daughters, Carmen Butts (Carlton) of Frankville, Nichole Phillips (Neil) of Madison: 3 sisters, Ouida Ganus, Virginia Wright, Gail Phillips all of Millry; mother-in-law, Louise Ford of Millry; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Stewart will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Flat Branch Assembly of God in Millry. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 31, 2017 from the Flat Branch Assembly of God in Millry with Rev. Jim Koen, Rev. Cory Brown, and Rev. Jimmie Butts officiating. Interment will be in Stewart Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Millry.
