Mr. J T West, Sr., 93, of Clara, MS passed from this life Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Sunday, November 16, 1924 to Ed West and Nancy West. Mr. West served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of World War II. He retired as a self-employed carpenter in the House Construction Industry. He was a member of Clara Church of God. Mr. West is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lee West; mother, Nancy West; father, Ed West; 8 brothers; 2 sisters. He is survived by his 2 sons, J T West, Jr. (Louise) of Waynesboro, MS, Mickey West (Vivian) of Richton, MS; daughter, Dianne Baygents of Dayton, TX; 7 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are: Wes Baygents, Eric Baygents, Steve West, Michael West, Kevin West, and Justin Walley. Visitation for Mr. West will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, February 15, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM with a lie in state from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Clara Church of God in Clara, MS with Rev. Arnold Amason and Rev. Thomas Holloway officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
