Mr. Fred Hollinghead, 73, of Chicora, MS passed from this life Saturday, July 1, 2017 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. He was born in Washington County, AL on Saturday, November 13, 1943. He was a member of Clara Church of God and was retired as a Machine Operator with Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Mr. Hollinghead is survived by his wife, Glenda Hollinghead of Chicora; son, Michael Hollinghead (Belinda) of Laurel; daughter, Dalonda Heathcock (Byron) of Chicora; 3 brothers, James Hollinghead (Lana) of Waynesboro, Daniel Hollinghead of Leakesville, Junior Hollinghead of Buckatunna; 5 sisters, Dollie Blount of Waynesboro, Sue West (Gaston) of Buckatunna, Velma Hollinghead of Millry, AL, Diane Smith (Billy) of Millry, AL, Betty Smith (Gary) of Waynesboro; 4 grandchildren, Katlyn Hollinghead, Haleigh Hollinghead, Danielle Hollinghead, Cole Hollinghead. Visitation for Mr. Hollinghead will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Clara Church of God, 227 Buckatunna Chicora Clara Road, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Clara Church of God with Rev. Arnold Amason, Rev. Floyd Mills and Rev. Saxton Odom officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
