Mr. Charles W. Pittman, 71, a resident of Brandon, MS passed from this life on Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was born on Wednesday, September 25, 1946 in Columbia to James and Gursia Pittman. He was a member of Robinhood Baptist Church and was retired auto technician. Mr. Pittman is preceded in death by his parents, James and Gursia Pittman; son, Greg Pittman; 3 brothers, Willie C. Pittman, Bennie Mack Pittman, Bobby Jack Pittman. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gwen Langley Pittman of Brandon; 2 sons, Jimmy D. Pittman (Kelly), Kevin Pittman both of Brandon; brother, James Pittman of Columbia; 7 grandchildren, Brittany Lee Pittman Glenn, Kimberly Michelle Pittman, Gamie Pittman, Karen Lacey Pittman, Isabelle Phillips, Gavin Phillips, Cloee Phillips; 2 great grandchildren, Zoey Chamblee, Steven Little. Visitation for Mr. Pittman will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 13, 2017 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 14, 2017 with a lie-in-state from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM from the West Shady Grove Baptist Church, 32 West Shady Grove Church Road, Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Sam Taylor officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro.
